Parent and Carer Volunteers

About the PTA

Our academies really values the help and support of parents and carers – and the PTA are always looking for volunteers to help with the work to support our academies.

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an organisation of parents and staff who are an active part of school life across our Trust and a great way to encourage closer links between home and school. PTAs are best known for their fundraising work, but they also have a useful social function too.  Funds raised by the PTA are separate from the schools, the PTA is responsible for managing these funds.

There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through the PTA.  Offering to help with events or at other times during the year is so valuable.  It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you cannot come into school.  There are always jobs that can done from home if you have half an hour to spare e.g preparing raffle tickets. If you would like to be more involved and are happy for us to contact, you on an adhoc basis then please contact your child’s school office.

Supporting our Pupils’ Learning

We would welcome volunteers who are able to help with our pupils’ learning in areas such as reading, writing, helping with arts and crafts or just to work with our children.

If you are interested to find our more about our PTAs and other volunteer opportunities, please contact the academy direct who will be pleased to hear from you.
